Thinking of a Christening?
Everyone is welcome to have their children christened in church. During the Christening service your baby will be baptized. There are around 10,000 babies and children baptized in the Church of England every month. We also welcome adults who want to be baptized. Your child is precious to you and precious to God. At Baptism you make a decision to start your child on a journey of faith. The church and the godparents support the family and the child in this decision. Please note there is no fee for this service.

A funeral in church not only marks the end of a person’s life here on earth but gives the message of Christian hope that our faith provides, it also offers your family a connection with the local and faith communities. Family and friends come together in a safe and holy space to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God’s keeping. Services can be a small quiet ceremony or a large occasion in a packed church.
For more information or to arrange any of the above, get in touch with your local church.
